The seawall construction is underway
Don’t let the construction keep you from cruising to downtown Seattle!
You may have heard that the Elliott Bay Seawall is being replaced. You may have also heard downtown Seattle waterfront businesses will be closed due to the construction from October 2014 until June 2015. What you may NOT have heard is that Bell Harbor Marina will be open for business! The seawall construction stops south of the marina, so there will still be plenty to see and do!
The seawall construction is underway from south of the Washington State Ferries terminal at Pier 52 to Pier 62/63, however, Argosy Cruises, the Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Great Wheel, and the Washington State Ferries terminal will remain open.
Boaters will continue to have access to nearby Seattle Center; downtown arts, shopping, and dining; plus the Belltown neighborhood. Just minutes away, boaters can explore Pike Place Market, historic Pioneer Square, the Chinatown-International District; and sports and events at CenturyLink Field and Safeco Field.
